Terms of Service

The service

DEADSTOCK cross-lists products from your Shopify store to external marketplaces (currently Grailed) and synchronizes inventory between them: when an item sells in one place, the service updates or removes it in the other. You connect your own store and your own marketplace account; the service acts on your behalf, under your instruction.

Your responsibilities

  • You must own or be authorized to sell the inventory you connect.
  • You are responsible for complying with the terms of the marketplaces the service posts to, and for the accuracy of listings it creates from your product data.
  • You are responsible for fulfilling orders, handling returns, and everything else that happens after a sale — the service moves listings and stock counts, not goods or money.
  • Keep your account credentials to yourself; actions taken from your account are yours.

Automation, honestly

The service automates listing, delisting, and inventory adjustments. Automation acting on live marketplace data can be wrong in ways we work hard to prevent: safeguards refuse destructive actions without corroborating evidence, large price changes require your approval, and every automated action is logged and surfaced to you. Even so, you should review what the dashboard flags for your attention. We are not liable for lost profits arising from marketplace behaviour outside our control.

Billing

The service is billed as a monthly subscription through Shopify’s billing system, on the same invoice as the rest of your store. You choose, change, or cancel your plan in your Shopify admin at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period. No refunds for partial months.

Termination

You can stop using the service at any time by uninstalling the app and cancelling your subscription. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, attempt to access other merchants’ data, or use it for inventory they have no right to sell. On termination we delete your data as described in the privacy policy.

Warranty and liability

The service is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
